BIRTH DAY OF LISE MEITNER
Lise Meitner was born on 07-November 1878.
She was an Austrian Physicist.
She was influenced by Otto Hahn.
She worked on radio activity and nuclear physics.
She was part of Hahn-Meitner-Strassmann team for research.
They together worked on trans-Uranium elements.
It leads to the discovery of nuclear fission of Uranium and thorium in 1938.
They observed nuclear fission when Uranium was bombarded with neutrons.
She was also discovered the first long lasting isotopes of element Protactinium with Otto Hahn.
She got Liben prize in 1925, Max Planck medal in 1955, Enrico Fermi award in 1966.
She presented two papers on beta radiation.
The 109th element s first named as Une (pet name). [Une - Un nil enn ium ]
Later the 109th element was named as Meitnerium in the honour of Lise meitner. She was died on 27-October 1968.

BIRTH DAY OF HENRY MOSELEY
Henry Gwyn Jeffreys Moseley was born on 23-November 1887.
He was an English Physicist.
He proved that atomic number of an element is more important than its weight.
He stated Moseley's law.
He correlated atomic number of an element with the charge of nucleus.
Moseley's law relating to energy of X-rays emitted from an element.
Up to his time all were followed Mendeleev's periodic table based on atomic weights.
Moseley prepared a modern periodic table based on Atomic number.
Moseley sorted chemical elements and form periodic table in a logical order in 1913.
This modern periodic table, till today followed by whole world.
Moseley obseved the X-ray spectra of various chemical elements.
He was participated in first world war for British army.
He was shot and killed in war at Gallipoli , Turkey on 10-August 1915.
He was died on 10-August 1915.
